A 216-hours Internship Odyssey

The internship program was an eye opening experience at SOKN Design and Construction Firm (August 2022 with our very own 2015 ALE top-ranked and a TSU Alumni Ar. Jun Sangalang and IDr. Nina Kho Sangalang). The firm guided us as if we were real employees whom they would not hesitate to have us handle various type of works ranging from schematic design, documentation, field work, attend client meetings etc. I was involved thoughout at these projects listed below • Sulu Naing Kapayan Church at Dungan, Concepcion • Geevie David Garage at Balagtas, Bulacan • Dr. Manzano Residence at Subic, Zambales • Col. Sangalang Residence at Capas, Tarlac • Cuyugan Condo Interior at D’Heights Clark, Pampanga • Jamboree Rice Mill at Bulacan • Marfa & Cinto Residence at Ayala Greenfields Estate, Calamba, Laguna We had variety of tasks as an intern. From being involved at designing one project to simultaneous working—drawing architectural and electrical layouts while having to cope up with another project’s requirements. At times, our senior apprentices would always be there to offer ample helping hands so to thankfully arrive at desirable results. Observing the workplace outside walls of the office thought me that comes great communication is a team that works.

AGKUYOG: A PET-FRIENDLY EVACUATION CENTER — Part I

The pet evacuation center is a unique architectural project that was created to help owners who have to evacuate their pets during a disaster. The building is designed to be a safe place for pets to stay while they (pets and owners) are displaced from their homes. Owners can have the common space to help them get through the emotional distress caused by the disaster.
