Architects don't just draw! Architects also manage a ton of things from one place to another. As an intern, I got to visit a factory named La Forge Designs Inc. located in Berthaphil Inc., Pampanga with IDr. Nina Kho Sangalang. This enable me to witness a glimpse of things that are taking place when designing an interior space to which indeed is very much relevant to architecture. Often architects will visit sites. Check progress on drawings, which I am so exposed to as a female intern, and travel to go check on on-going projects. Architectural working drawings ensure effective coordination between contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers during construction. This means one should make the actual building as close as possible to the one on paper. It takes patience and discipline to work for days with a project. I get to practice the proper architectural way and eye on few details that I before always left out when working on a construction drawing. Practice is indeed a bestfriend who one must keep to excel and reach a certain goal.

As enjoying as it may to write this, I am still astonished how far SOKN Design has reached in the art and design world. In the recent of the weeks, they had unknowingly thought us that design is not as daunting as one might think and inculcated in our minds that once a person enjoys what she/he do, they won't get tired and won’t mind the distance the projects they have to visit. This internship has inspired me to pursue and cling to existing dispositions of mine in relation to architecture- landscape, interior, construction in the future. I pursued architecture in response to what I thought to be the dream I will be happy to. It is indeed a type of glimpse of a journey that shall be remembered and look forward to while over from office work.
