Maker’s Plaza

During the design charrette, residents expressed their desire of wanting a public art plaza that demonstrates their local culture and history. Using the existing built fabric to frame the plaza, this rendering is a visualization of the outdoor art gallery that serves as a public space for congregation and hosting art-related transient activities.

To realize the vision outlined in the East Winter Garden Plan, the existing zoning for this area of town would need to be revised.

Form-based zoning places special emphasis on the physical configuration of the built environment and utilizes visuals to explain the desired form and appearance of development. My role was to compile and organize the design guidelines and form-based codes document.

Worked in groups as a table facilitator, where participants gathered around 15 tables to draw and share their ideas for the future of East Winter Garden.
