Out beyond the break of the waves in the middle of the sea is a simple marine home, where a passionate environmentalist named Poda lives out his days surfing, fishing, and recycling. His personal legend is to recycle all plastics and textiles that have been wrongly discarded into our water, consequently toxifying the environment and its marine life. The waste in these waters are byproducts of the rapid production and consumption of fast fashion, oil and gas exploration, and electronics, which has yet to be solved. Poda, our aquatic inhabitant, feels it is his personal mission to address this marine pollution because if the industries causing the pollution won't step up, then he will. Here in his marine home, Poda has a natural filtration system that runs water throughout the space, providing him with a fresh water supply and passive energy systems to make life at sea simple and easy. Here Poda spends his days collecting trash with contraptions he’s made, while also taking the time to surf, fish, and lay in the sun. Poda is a case study of sustainable and happy living out in the ocean, a relaxed lifestyle fueled with purpose, all made possible by his cozy marine home. By Julia and Chloe
