Korogonianika belong to the municipality of East Mani of the Regional Unit of Laconia, which is located in the Peloponnese Region. They have an altitude of 380m above sea level. The traditional tower houses of the area are distinguished by their use stone for the special stonework used.
The study concerns the reuse of the traditional tower house in the area of Korogonianika as a permanent residence with a workplace. In this reuse, there are spaces such as two bedrooms, kitchen, two bathrooms and a bathroom area.
The purpose was to preserve the natural element of the the tower but also combining the palace with the new one, where new aesthetics were integrated into the space. The material we used are the walnut, the cement mortar as a technique and the existing masonry.
