The "Urban Activation Hub" project is the 3rd-year project of the 1st semester within the Architecture Design Workshop. We were given a site that included an existing hall and the surrounding area for development.
The concept of the Hub involved creating spaces within a space, essentially generating distinct areas within the Hub, an interior within an interior. These spaces were interconnected through walkways, and there were shared connecting and transit spaces among them.
The primary priority was the preservation of the existing building and its functional restoration while retaining as many original features as possible.
Within this project, particular attention was given to optimizing the use of interior spaces, making them multifunctional and meeting the urban community's needs in a sustainable manner. Additionally, modern design elements were integrated, respecting the historical character of the existing building, thus contributing to the preservation of the local heritage and enhancing the area's aesthetics.
