In school, my Revit journey has been eventful, and I've completed a total of six projects using this software. Among these projects, I'll be highlighting the two most significant ones: a PPVC module construction project and a 6-storey multistorey residential project. These showcase the progress and learning experiences I've gained while working with Revit.
For this project, our task was to reconfigure a provided house floorplan in accordance with PPVC (Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction) standards. The objective was to modify the layout to meet the specific requirements and guidelines of PPVC construction.
In this project, students were assigned an existing plot in Little India for analysis and tasked with creating a building that adheres to development control guidelines while maximizing the Gross Floor Area (GFA) use and selling efficiency of the lot. Approaching the project with an open mind, I soon discovered that developing a building that meets all requirements was more challenging than anticipated. After exploring multiple design variations in AutoCAD, I arrived at my final design, which successfully balances the living quality for the residents while still adhering to the guidelines.
