One of the difficulties presented to artists is the lack of dedicated spaces for artistic expression; combining nature with a visual arts center can aid their creative process. By using the philosophical theory of phenomenology and inside-out architecture in a way that the inside environment creates a seamless indoor and outdoor setting, blurring the barriers, this building will be a place where artists can be surrounded by nature while addressing all their artistic needs. Consequently, the multi-experiential assets within the hub will promote creative involvement, making it a conducive space where artists learn, grow, and ultimately flourish in their artistic endeavors.
The modern era has presented artists with significant challenges, including a lack of appreciation and inadequate environments for their creative pursuits, leading to misconceptions about the value of artistic professions despite their substantial contributions. To address these issues, there is a pressing need for a Multi-Experiential Visual Arts Hub that integrates phenomenological principles and inside-out architecture, aiming to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces to nurture artistic creativity. Current research highlights a gap in understanding how physical environments influence creativity, with findings emphasizing the importance of nature in fostering creativity through its calming and liberating effects. The study utilized qualitative methods, revealing that individual and community spaces with optimal lighting and vistas are crucial for artistic expression. Ultimately, this research advocates for a paradigm shift in architectural practice, prioritizing human experiences and multisensory engagement to create inclusive and enjoyable spaces that foster creativity, well-being, and a deeper connection with nature, benefiting both artists and broader cultural and environmental contexts.
