SPA New Campus

SITE The site acquired by JNU is a 20-acre land near Grand Hotel in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The site has a vast green cover, and a huge canyon possibly left after the widespread quarrying that plagued the Southern Ridge of Delhi. Retaining this natural landscape is one of the most important aspects of campus planning. PROGRAM The program consists of the following: 1. Administration zone, Academic zone (Undergraduate and Post-Graduate) 2. Faculty housing, Student housing, Open Recreation spaces, Auditoriums 3. Common facilities and Amenities CONCEPT The campus shall imprint an impression on the visitors and crowd coming in from around the world through the design in order to climb to the global domain. The design of the campus uses multiple design principles along with strategies derived from the vision to create a sacred learning experience.
