Ground Zero is an architectural project that explores the passion for gaming through its design. The project is located at the closest location that gets affected by a global event in Hyderabad and it serves as a space for gamers to explore their passion. The building is designed to be interactive and immersive, with features that encourage gamers to explore and enjoy their surroundings.
Ground zero - Gaming narratology park is a project that aims to create a space that showcases all the aspects and solutions of the threats posed by gaming. The project consists of a series of interconnected pavilions which house different types of gaming spaces, including a virtual reality simulator, an arcade, and a video game museum. The pavilions are connected by a series of walkways and bridges which allow visitors to explore different sections of the park. The project also features a series of sculptures which represent different aspects of gaming culture.
The project is a new mixed-use development in an urban area. The site is bounded by a busy street on one side and a Lake on the other. The climate is temperate and there is a lot of seasonal variation. The neighborhood is diverse, with a mix of older and newer buildings. The topography is hilly, so the development was designed to be stacked, with a lower level that faces the street and an upper level that faces the Lake.
This project proposes zoning according to usage, diving public and private area with open spaces and water body that complements the existing contour. The water body connects to the built spaces just like a circuit, providing users with a sense of openness and accessibility.
The project is a 35% reduction of municipally supplied potable water, in part through the use of low-flush toilets and waterless urinals. The building achieves this by using a water harvesting and treatment system that captures rainwater and greywater from the building's roof and uses it to flush toilets and waterless urinals. This system also allows the building to use potable water for other purposes, such as irrigation. The Root Zone Treatment Facility is a new wastewater treatment plant that recycles wastewater simultaneously while irrigating vegetation. The design emphasizes the integration of the plant into the natural landscape, while also providing an efficient and sustainable wastewater treatment solution.
