Yaffa City Hall is a newly constructed municipal building located in the city of Yaffa, Israel, boasting a gross built-up area of 5000 square meters. Situated atop a hill, the building is supported by three pilotis, affording panoramic views of the surrounding hills and urban context. As a member of the project team, I made significant contributions to the modernization of the building's design through the utilization of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Revit. Additionally, I provided critical support in 3D visualization and concept design, further augmenting the design process. My responsibilities also encompassed landscape design, which involved the planning and organization of site elements, vegetation, and the creation of a coherent and aesthetically pleasing outdoor space that is complementary to the overall architectural composition. Moreover, I was also involved in the generation of concept design drawings, which provided an essential reference for the team throughout the project's various stages, and helped to refine and improve the design as it progressed. Entrance Perspective
The main entrance of the proposed building would be situated at the center of a large, open plaza that would serve as the main public space for the neighborhood. The plaza would be surrounded by a series of interconnected courtyards that would provide shady areas for visitors, as well as a variety of outdoor seating and activity areas. The building itself would be situated on a large podium that would be surrounded by a series of smaller courtyards, providing privacy to the residents of the building while still allowing for a sense of community. The facade of the building would be composed of a series of large windows that would allow natural light to flood into the interior of the building, while also providing views of the surrounding landscape.
General Perspective
The project is a large, ondulated, elevated building that provides panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The elevated shape provide a sense of openness and expansiveness, while also providing privacy for the residents. The building is placed atop a hill so that it can look out over the surrounding countryside.
General Concept Plan
The administrative offices are situated towards the facade of the building. A giant atrium, designed to bring light inside and provide a sense of openness, spans the entire width of the building. The conference room is located on the east side.
