CASA AL MOND

Year: 2022

Category: Residential Architecture

- ARCH305 Environmental Control Project - The aim of the project is to design a climate-friendly and energy-efficient detached hosue using environmental conditions. In this direction, a 3-bedroom family house was designed in the Bademli neighborhood in Mudanya, Bursa, which receives light throughout the day, where the rooms can be ventilated by taking advantage of the natural wind. The kitchen smell is not dissipated, and the bathroom ventilation is resolved within itself. The level of discomfort caused by the sun is reduced with timber shadow elements adapted to the direction of the sun. Trees are used as natural shading elements on the south and west side. Travertine flooring is used as a thermal mass of floor, and brick veneer is used as the thermal mass of external walls.
