- ARCH301 Studio Project - "Techne" is an ancient Greek term that refers to a broad concept of knowledge and skills related to craftsmanship, art, and technique. It is read as "tekne" in Turkish, which means "boat", refers to the relationship of the project with the sea.
Located in Burunbahçe, Beykoz, Istanbul, serves as a community center where diverse primary and secondary functions converge. Situated in a tranquil area of the Bosphorus, this serene land is highly regarded by its visitors and offers workshops for art production, maritime activities, and certificate programs for various age groups, all facilitated through the master-apprentice relationship. The project is dedicated to honoring Beykoz's production history and aims to provide families with the opportunity to experience new and unfamiliar activities accompanied by skilled craftsmen, artists, and trainers, enabling them to acquire novel and diverse achievements.
In addition to these features,t here is a boathouse at the seaside for launching and retrieving the boats. There is a library that aligns with the project's theme, as well as a cafe and restaurant where users can relish the beauty of the Bosphorus.
