I designed a "mountain plate", which is both a sculpture and a functional plate. Inspiration comes from the poem my mother taught me to memorize when I was a child "food is as important and good as beautiful as utensils."
After arriving in the United States, I found that the food culture in the United States is completely different from that in China: all food is served on one plate per person, and there is no joy in sharing food with everyone.
Later, I did research and found that the most common food shared by Americans is desserts - so I made a plate of Chinese landscape painting culture, and some sculptures mixed with various Chinese and American desserts.
