Bush School Additions

Year: 2021

Working off of reference drawings for a proposed school addition, this project focused on the design of the building envelope. This proposal includes a brick veneer facade, low-slope green roof, and a pitched roof with concealed gutters. I chose to implement a glulam structure, Cascadia 400 Series triple glazed windows, and a standing seam pitched roof. This addition will include a multi-use "social commons", multiple classrooms, a kitchen, and below-grade spaces. I was also tasked with selecting a specific brick module and blend to create a seamless facade with appropriately placed expansion joints and windows.
