Creative Hub: Up-Cycling to Reduce Waste
Jogjakarta is a big city in Indonesia and known as creative city because of lots of creative people lived there. As a big city , a major problem in Jogjakarta is still struggling with waste crisis, and one way to solve this problem is to make a creative program and create art from waste material (major waste in Jogjakarta is from metal, plastic, and paper). Therefore the intention of this project is to make a makerspace or studio with Up-cycling as the main theme. Up-cycling itself is a process of transforming old or discarded materials or products into new, often higher-value items, with the aim of reducing waste and environmental impact. This program designed for adults and kids in Jogjakarta and to educate them to think innovatively and creatively.
