Tahanan: A proposed community center for ageing
Symbiosis: The harmonious interdependence of humans, built structure, and natural environment A place designed to foster and exhibit the harmonious symbiotic relationship of humans, built structures, and the natural environment of the Filipino people. Archetype: The first model of the Philippine senior citizen center The concept is to create the first model of a place that will foster symbiotic coexistence between senior citizens and children through intergenerational settings. The design will also exhibit a harmonious man-made built environment and the natural environment in architecture emphasizes the harmonious relationship and interdependence. It involves creating designs that coexist seamlessly with the surrounding natural landscape while providing functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for human activities. Filipino Architecture: The perfect model of symbiotic interdependence This concept will be an applied Filipino architecture archetype that will speak and feel like a home for the Filipino elderly and children. A design that is significantly influenced by a Filipino architecture for it is an archetype dedicated to guiding the development of senior citizen centers and green spaces nationwide. The overall design is a collective manifestation of Filipino architectural techniques, style, and design of the past and present. A space that is designed out of the century experience Filipino in building human settlement, for it will become a place of the past and the future of this country, the children and elderly.

DESIGN CONCEPT The design is made to inherit the qualities and ambiance that make Filipino architecture stands out, “Maaliwalas” is a passive design. In response to the challenge of containing the sound of the interior within and the unwanted sounds of the outdoor environment outside, various design techniques from “Bahay na Bato” were incorporated.

Fiesta, is the Filipino way of celebration. The Design is made in Harmony with the culture and traditions of the locals; thus, the design will not make the cultural identity different from the place where it is being fostered and celebrated.

A proposed Puerto Princesa City Smart-condominium. ANALOGICAL REPRESENTATION OF PALAWAN’S NATURAL CURVES AND PATTERNS IN A FUTURISTIC ARCHITECTURAL CHARACTER. THE FUTURE OF THE ISLAND OF PALAWAN ARCHITECTURE SHOULD BE THE REFLECTION OF ITS NATURAL LANDSCAPES’ CURVES AND SILHOUETTES.
