A History In Brick

Sited in the historic Manchester neighborhood of Manhattan, I sought to reimagine, and revitalize what in meant to "fit in" to this historic neighborhood. Rather than elect to use the traditional model of the rowhouse in this effort, I noticed the uneven brickwork along the various party walls throughout the site. Within these party walls are uneven, messy brickwork, scars of sister buildings that stand no more. Through the extrusion of these wonderful imperfections, I sought to breathe new life into the masonry.
