The Pulse Pavilion is a harbinger of change. Guided by the City of Surrey’s rapid growth and its rich cultural diversity, the Pulse Pavilion is an undulating silhouette that activates upon touch. A series of sparkling–orange revolving doors line up to form a wave, which pivots and rotates with the movement of wind and passers-by. And, suddenly, a small corner of a humble parking lot is transformed into an enticing social hub. Our pavilion’s soft steel form and polycarbonate panels become a tactile interface bridging the built environment and the individual, fostering a more intimate interaction with Surrey’s fast-evolving cityscape. Purposefully designed for accessibility and durability, it stands as a lasting structure integral to the daily lives of those on the move. The Pulse Pavilion is ultimately a vibrant emblem for the people — a beacon marking a new urban place-making.
