PROSTOR HOUSING COMPLEX

Year: 2025

Category: Residential Architecture

Skills: Photoshop, Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Illustrator, SketchUp

This was a semester long project about designing housing for H-2A workers in the Ogden area. The project started with a site visit to Marriott-Slaterville to explore the area. I then did research on traditional H-2A housing requirements and found them to be ruthless. My goal was to design something with plenty of space and comfort for the workers. I focused on creating a twist program which encourages private and public spaces. This would allow the workers to have their own private living area, with the option to interact with other people when they leave their apartments. The building is ~40,000 square feet, and there is a total of 4 buildings on site. In the end, this project was presented in front of the community in Ogden.

Model-Making

Two models were constructed for this project. A building model, which shows the building and site context at 1/16" scale, and a section model of the building at 1/2" scale.
