The land belonging to the Blitar Government consists of several buildings. The architect was asked to design 2 masses that function as an art space and guest house. Bringing out the Javanese building concept, both two masses have elements of traditional Blitar wood carvings. _____NOTE_____ This project is supervised under Andyrahman Architect Principal: Andy Rahman Architect in Charge: Fithrotul Mumtaz
This pavilion functions as an art space, left open without walls to let people inclusively access it from each side. It combines a structure of teak wood, red brick and old-fashioned patterned floor tiles to provide a reinterpretation of the Javanese building concept.
The interior design of this guest house offers tropical luxury concept. By using natural materials, combining andesite stone with wood and earth tones, it redefines a warm physical environment for Blitar government guests. Presenting the local wisdom of Blitar, its TV background panel designed through carved wood with local motifs, as well as Blitar's typical Tutur Batik for its bed scarf.
