The "Land" We Don't Know

Year: 2023

Category: Landscape & Urbanism

"The Land We Don't Know" is an utopian concept that promotes a sustainable society, unique visual experiences, and diverse activities through an innovative approach to transforming topography. By merging various functions and urban elements such as topography, wetland, and landscape, this design creates public spaces that accommodate natural needs while simultaneously offering diverse spatial experiences. Although organic architectural language creates an encouraging environment for publicness, this conception evolves through its' diversity of inhabitants. It gains importance as a search to create spatial formations specific to place, texture, and culture by leaving conventional construction techniques. Also, utopia benefits from urban elements for sustainable construction and spatializes it by considering social and environmental factors. Consequently, the public spaces, including educational, communal, and residential areas, offer a dynamic living experience for its citizens. While the utopia utilizes the bending of topography and urban elements to create spaces, it also takes into account various scales.
