Drawing inspiration from the growing bud shapes of plants, a generative form has emerged with essential geometry that not only captures the beauty of nature but also incorporates aero-dynamical features. Taking into account the heavy wind factor in the vicinity of the site, located near the Pallikaranai marshland, this architectural masterpiece seamlessly blends functionality and aesthetics to create a sustainable and environmentally conscious skyscraper. The design represents a harmonious marriage between nature and architecture, paving the way for a greener and more eco-friendly future.
Once sprawling over an area of 80 square kilometers, the Pallikarnai wetland in Chennai, India is a true marvel of nature. However, with rapid urbanization and human intervention, this once vibrant ecosystem has been reduced to a mere 80 square kilometers, with only a small fraction remaining as a natural wetland. As the only surviving wetland ecosystem in the city and among the last remaining in South India, the loss of this precious resource is a sad reminder of our impact on the environment.
