The initial thought process is to recognize the components of housing and outdoor space, vertically dividing functions into various "plates." However, integration requires unique intersections which, in turn, reinforces a horizontal connection across different units.

Final Physical Model

The emphasis is placed upon the residents' experiences of the exterior spaces surrounding their units, from moments of bridging that overlook patches of trees along the ground level to more secluded balconies that foster intimate garden gatherings.

Experiential Section

The horizontal shifting of the "plates" create diverse pockets of greenery scattered throughout the complex. The heart of the project lies within the outdoors as the residents' lifestyles interact heavily with nature.
