The design statement for the boutique backpacker hotel located at Petaling Street is to create a surreal atmosphere that takes guests on a dreamlike journey. To achieve this, the design approach will incorporate unexpected objects and whimsical design elements that play with scale and defy conventional design principles.

山水 ShanShui is a building, which expresses the importance that people in the Han Dynasty attached to mountains and rivers. It is a cultural building that tries to combine local elements, conduct cultural language exchange, and promote art, history, religion and heritage.
