MAUSOLEUM- Three hierarchical triangular figures with monumentality surrounding an irregular center.
The idea is inspired by the devotion to the holy trinity, very important religious figure for Catholics predominantly, but also takes place in more than one religion found in the country.
The orientation of the site is directly related to the design of the building, we sought to maximize the use of natural morning light (most used time for final wake) by large windows facing east. Protection from midday light using voluminous walls bordering on the Gothic, West-facing for heat absorption.
Marble stone in dark tones was chosen as the cladding for the structure and floors, the shelves platforms are covered in white marble. Slab roof with asphalt coating as insulation. The color palette is designed to demonstrate power and elegance.
The layout is designed in such a way as to create a sense of descent and ascent, this is achieved by applying steps to the main and secondary entrances. The ascent with the pyramid-shaped arrangement of shelving platforms. We also placed a flower garden under the platforms. Symbolically demonstrating the creed in the ascent to eternal life(elevated platforms) and the entrance to the divine kingdom(window and garden).
